"I'm not afraid and that scares me, I'm not brave and that wears me"
Since she was a babe, Liv Cochrane has always commanded (and demanded) an audience. From the days of performing "Angel Of The Morning" on her mum's karaoke machine to grabbing a New Zealand Music Award nomination, Liv's path has always lead to a stage.
For five years Liv was half of the critically acclaimed and award-winning duo Into The East, with New Plymouth based Writer and Producer Graeme Woller. The pair toured prolifically and built a strong family of strangers, putting out two albums and touring an impressive twice in two years with Creative NZ's "Arts On Tour". In June 2016 Into The East disbanded and Liv found herself in a three-year love affair with broadcasting, waking Southland up alongside James McRobie on The Hits. Upon the arrival of her third wee one, Liv hung up her headphones and jumped headfirst into nappy duty.
After 8 months of beautiful homelife, and a Jean Valjean"Who Am I?" styled soul-search, Liv stepped back onto her stage, this time at the 2019 MLT Gold Guitar Awards and came out as Overall Runner Up. The Jammy Bastard.
Liv now has her sights set on re-establishing herself as a solo artist.
With big hairy audacious goals to tick off, be prepared to see and hear lots more of Liv Cochrane.
